Local Development Plan (ldp)
As you are aware we have restarted the campaign with regard to proposals being put forward in the new Local Development Plan (ldp) by the council.
we will be holding another public meeting on august 21st at 10.30am in the bryncoch community to which everyone is invited to attend.
Following the last public meeting , those in attendence approved the proposal that we apply to the council for the bryncoch farm site to be proposed as a candidate site for the new LDP as an educational nature reserve.This application has now been made and is on the council website.
Under the proposed candidate sites for housing development received to date in the bryncoch area if the council accepts all of these it would mean an increase in the village size by some 75%!!
We feel it absolutely vital our local community is made aware of what the proposals could mean for all our lives and the future of Bryncoch village - something I am afraid the council seems reluctant to do. Most villagers are blisfully unaware of what could potentially happen.
People need to tell their neighbours family and friends just what is at stake here - that in part is what village life is all about, something we have in Bryncoch and it is that sense of community that is very much at threat - we owe it to our children and future generations in Bryncoch
At the meeting on aug 21st we will be unveiling our proposal for the educational/nature reserve at Bryncoch farm as well as handing out our objection letter campaign.
